In Person Initial Assessment and Feeding Support

As a Lactation Consultant covering Coventry and Warwickshire I will take a detailed history, explore feeding goals, and carry out a comprehensive feeding assessment. We will work together to identify and address any challenges, creating a clear, individualised plan.

Appointments last 90 minutes to 2 hours, allowing time for unrushed assessment.


This appointment includes:

  • A detailed medical, birth and feeding history
  • A 1:1 feeding assessment, including close observation of a feed
  • Individualised feeding education, supporting bonding, relationship building and early brain development
  • Guidance on the importance of continued skin-to-skin contact
  • Practical support with positioning that feels comfortable and instinctive for both you and your baby
  • Clear, hands-on or off tips to improve positioning, latch and ease of feeding
  • How to recognise effective versus ineffective feeding
  • Reassurance and guidance on how to know your baby is feeding well and getting enough milk
  • Oral function and tongue-tie assessment, where clinically indicated
    (Please note: this service does not include tongue-tie division)
  • Bottle feeding or mixed feeding support, where needed, to protect breastfeeding or help reduce reflux and wind
  • Specialist lactation guidance for common concerns such as sleepy babies, painful feeding, sore or cracked nipples, medication queries, pumping and expressing
  • 2 weeks ongoing WhatsApp or email support within my working hours

  • A written feeding plan and follow-up guidance to support you beyond the appointment

Pregnancy Feeding Masterclass

This one-to-one pregnancy feeding masterclass is designed to help you feel informed, prepared and confident about feeding your baby when they         arrive. It offers dedicated time with an experienced midwife and IBCLC in Coventry & Warwickshire, allowing space for discussion, questions and practical preparation tailored to you.

I give insightful tips on navigating NHS maternity and how to still reach your feeding goals. 

Whether you are planning to breastfeed, bottle feed or combine feeding methods, this session supports you to understand what to expect in the early days and how to get feeding off to the best possible start. Together, we will talk through your plans, previous experiences (if relevant), and any concerns you may have, helping you feel calm and well-prepared for birth and beyond.

This masterclass lasts up to 90 minutes and includes practical guidance, reassurance and clear explanations in a relaxed, supportive setting.

I strongly encourage partners, family members or close supporters to attend if possible. I discuss ways they can support breastfeeding. An informed       support network can make a significant difference to a mother’s confidence and experience when establishing feeding.

IBCLC In Your Pocket Package

If you prefer to communicate digitally this could be a good option for you. This is great for general breastfeeding support or normal newborn behaviour   questions. Feeding support in pregnancy or after birth. Videos of baby feeding can be sent to me.

Consultation via WhatsApp and/or email for 2 weeks. I will guarantee to reply within 24 hours, but will likely reply much more quickly. However, I am afraid I probably will not respond between 10pm and 8am!


If I feel a video consultation is required I'll make a  suggestion to change your package of care. IBCLC Coventry and Warwickshire.

In Person Follow Up Feeding Support

As your feeding journey continues, you may find that plans need refining or new questions arise. Follow-up appointments provide dedicated time to review progress, respond to changes, and adjust strategies so you can continue feeding with confidence.

As a Lactation consultant known to you these sessions focus on building on the support already in place, reinforcing what’s working and   addressing any new challenges. Appointments last up to 60 minutes and are available subject to availability.

Ongoing WhatsApp or email support is included within working hours to support you between sessions.

Follow-up appointments are available to existing   clients only.

Video Consultation

Video consultations offer the benefit of face-to-face contact in a flexible, accessible format. They are ideal when you would value visual support and reassurance but do not require an in-person visit.

Lasting up to 60 minutes, video consultations are suitable for both breastfed and bottle-fed babies and provide dedicated time to talk things through calmly and clearly. These sessions work particularly well for antenatal feeding preparation, planning for a new baby after previous feeding experiences, introducing solids, lactation de-briefs, and wider parenting support. They can also be used to review feeding plans, discuss expressing or mixed feeding, and address concerns as they arise.

Video consultations offer the opportunity for personalised, expert guidance from the comfort of your own home.

Telephone Consultation

Telephone consultation with a Coventry and Warwickshire Lactation Consultant offer calm, expert support when you need guidance but don’t require hands-on assessment. They are ideal if travel isn’t possible or if you’re looking for reassurance, planning support or help making sense of feeding-related questions.

These sessions last up to 60 minutes and are suitable for babies of all ages. They work particularly well for reviewing feeding or expressing plans, returning to work or study, bottle or mixed feeding guidance, questions around feeding and sleep, and ongoing parenting support. Telephone consultations can also be a helpful follow-on from face-to-face support.

Easy to access and unrushed, these appointments provide space to talk things through clearly and confidently, with practical advice tailored to you and your baby.

Out For A Walk – Reflective Feeding & Birth Debrief Support

Sometimes what’s needed most is time, space and a compassionate listening ear.

Out for a Walk offers a supportive opportunity to talk things through while walking together in a local park or green space. Led by a midwife, IBCLC and certified rewind birth trauma therapist covering Coventry and Warwickshire, these sessions are designed to help you reflect, process and move  forward emotionally and practically.

This service is particularly suited to parents who want to:

  • Talk through current or previous feeding experiences
  • Process feeding challenges from a past pregnancy or birth (even if it was years ago)
  • Have a lactation or feeding debrief
  • Explore feelings around feeding expectations versus reality
  • Gain clarity and confidence moving into the next stage

It is suitable during pregnancy or after birth.
If a full feeding assessment or hands-on support is        required, a different appointment type would be more appropriate.
